DR. Francis Mulekya Bwambale

About the Fellow: Francis Bwambale holds a M.Sc. in clinical epidemiology and biostatistics and a Bachelors of dental surgery. He was attached to Action for Children (AFC). He participated in planning, implementation and management of OVC projects within beneficiary communities. He also developed a monitoring and evaluation system for Community Child Health Care and Counseling component.

Emmy Muramuzi Bangizi

About the Fellow: Emmy Muramuzi Bangizi holds a MPH and a Bachelor of Medicine and surgery. He was attached to Islamic Medical Association of Uganda (IMAU). He participated in the management of the ART program, mobilizing communities for uptake of HIV/AIDS services; he developed a database for monitoring and evaluating ART, PMTCT, and HCT services.

Sheila Byiringiro Gashishiri

About the Fellow: Sheila Gashishiri holds a bachelor in Mass communication. She was attached to Jinja district directorate of health services. She developed a district HIV/AIDS communication strategy to guide implementation of HIV/AIDS interventions. She operationalised community level IEC/BCC tools. Documented and disseminated district HIV/AIDS activities and events.

She supported the scaling up of Nile breweries HIV/AIDS services to the surrounding community of Njeru, truck drivers and turn men, sorghum farmers as well as tavern owners.

About the Fellow: Flavia Nakayima holds a M.Sc. Clinical epidemiology and biostatistics and a BA. Social sciences. He was attached to World Vision Uganda. Flavia participated in HIV/AIDS and OVC advocacy activities including situational analysis, training, documentation and dissemination within the HIV/AIDS unit of the ministry quality division one of the five divisions of World Vision.
